Recall #N242435631-03

In part, it's been bad hardware too. You can't compensate for shit hardware with programming, especially with 2nd rate programmers. I think that's why some guys have seen functional improvements after replacing their head units.

Others haven't had many problems, if any, from jump street. My wife's Tahoe seems to function fine, my 22 does whatever it wants, my 24 infotainment and radio works fine, but I've had plenty of messages pop up in my DIC and flash across the top my infotainment system. It's cornucopia of bullshit electronic technology!
100%...my buddy has a 22, zero issues.

Yeah, that's why it's hard for me to believe it's just software. Also my 24 has the mysterious missing guage cluster too. I've now experienced that with increased frequency. I think there is a legit fix for that tho. Was gonna take it in for the brake control recall, but all of a sudden all the error messages I was getting from that have disappeared, even on trailers that were giving me repeated issues. I guess I'll ask for the works and see what happens coming out the other side.

GM focuses on assembly rather than making parts. i believe that certain modules manufactured by 3rd parties are partly to blame..ie; onstar module. too much tech thats not 100% dialed in and crappy quality control.

I took mine in for the software update when Chevy sent me an email saying I needed it. I'm now having issues. My phone doesn't want to connect to CarPlay half the time and my radio issues have gotten worse. Is it possible they did the wrong update??
its possible they need to download again. imo its a shitty process. my rig failed at first when tech said it was fine. his second attempt was successful. i watched and its rediculous. give it another shot. good luck.

Thankfully mine went through the first time without issue and I don't have any problems. The tech did mention they sometimes have to do it several times. Just depends on the vehicle.

Customer Satisfaction Program - Serial Data Gateway Module & Radio. I was having an issue where my Bluetooth on my iPhone was showing connected to my radio but the radio was not connected. If I attempted to reconnect, it would do it. This would happen 50% of the time I got in my truck which means my CarPlay wasn't connecting either. Took her in today to get a radio update and was told there is actually a recall that states: "Certain model year and vehicle makes may have a condition where the battery is at risk for a drain following an OTA update. Reprogram the serial data gateway module and radio following SI procedure".

The radio is now running Android 12 and software dated February 2024 with a Kernel Version March 26, 2024. Now it has connected to my phone and CarPlay every time. They stated it was a "recall" but it really appears to be just a Customer Satisfaction Program.
Did this update also fix the Bluetooth delay?
