Yep, $15/qt at that price I definitely won’t be doing 3,333 mile changes. Hell, might as well go to 7,500 per GM recommendation and let them replace what fails and dump this truck before warranty expires. Seems like the best strategy.

This is another reason I am so glad I traded my truck in.

Just received my notice from CARFAX as well on my 22. I'm at 43K miles and my motor has been flawless so far.
We'll see. At least they are finally somewhat addressing the issue. I'll quit worrying about it... if she blows she blows. F' it.

After the initial oil change at below 2k miles, I generally change it at between 25-30% on the oil life monitor. I change it at the dealer so I imagine 0W20 AC Delco full synthetic. Usually is at around 5K intervals. I’ve never had to add oil between changes so far. I put 360 miles on it every weekend as I leave the city for the peace and quiet of the country. I don’t beat it to death but I don’t baby it either and do some towing.
