My 22 came up with the CSP today. Have appt this afternoon to get it done. CSP also says it updates the serial data gateway to prevent battery drain for OTA updates. There haven’t been any OTA updates for some time now. GM was having issues with OTA updates back in 2023. Battery drain and possibly bricking the vehicle. There was an article over on GM Authority some time ago about a pause on OTA updates because of these issues. This CSP could be a sign they might resume OTA updates without issues.

Same exact same with mine. Going in tomorrow.
I will post an update when I know more.

Got mine done today. Now at Android 12. Much faster than before! Zero Sirius XM cutouts.

They can't charge...GM sent the recall/update issue email

I think this update disabled my kicker sub. Anyone know how to enable it?

I would take it in and get the radio updated regardless of whether the CSP is valid for your vehicle or not. The radio operates 100X better with the updated software and fixes a TON of bugs.

It made my radio much worse

How did it disable the sub? If memory serves, the power is directly connected to the battery and you tap off a physical line off the from passenger side of the vehicle. There is nothing in the radio to cut on or off.

Seems to be poor satelite radio audio quality. I tested a file on USB and it seems fine.

Do a reboot and see if that helps any. As I stated above, my update solved several issues and it's working great now. Still have the audio muting for a short time at stat-up, but I know what causes it and I don't believe that's something GM will fix on the version of radio.

my update wasnt easy. 1st attempt was a bust which frustrated the tech. he pulled me from waiting room and had me sit in passenger seat to show me the process the 2nd time. lots of steps that must be followed. my radio is dropout free and steering buttons for radion work fine. i hate to say but you need a good tech with follow thru.
