They look beautiful...how's the road noise at speed? Better or louder than the stock Goodyears?
That's the only way to do it. Check with your dealer website and see if they have any service discounts. I get some in the mail, but they post them on their website too. Might be able to save a few bucks.Dealership pricing on the transmission flush is about 344 + tax
Getting it done in the next 30.days.....im just under 26k so far. I might get some criticism but I'd rather stay ahead of the ball on preventative maintenance
Road noise so far is better than the stock Goodyears for sure, need a little more time with them but can confirm that for now at least. Was planning on doing a write up after more testing. They look beautiful...how's the road noise at speed? Better or louder than the stock Goodyears?
Haha talk about preventive! What does GM recommend for service intervals?Dealership pricing on the transmission flush is about 344 + tax

30k-60k depending on your driving styleHaha talk about preventive! What does GM recommend for service intervals?
Manual says 40k, my advisor told me 30k. 20-25k seems about right if your severe duty........hot temps, towing, off roading, mud, dusty.Haha talk about preventive! What does GM recommend for service intervals?

Dang they are definitely trying to get ahead of transmission issues, I like it. In the past other manufacturers listed the trans fluid as "lifetime" but we all know that was bs. The fluid might be lifetime but all the components wearing inside contaminating the fluid isn't.30k-60k depending on your driving style
I am going to change my diffs and transfer around 30k. Like you said it's not the lubrication it's what's in it.Dang they are definitely trying to get ahead of transmission issues, I like it. This is great info, in the past I always changed my fluid around 100k along with front/rear diffs and transfer case.
Yeah you and I live in states with the hottest harshest conditions in the country and then add doing 2-4 trails runs per month..... IMO it's just better to stay ahead of the ball so to speak.Manual says 40k, my advisor told me 30k. 20-25k seems about right if your serve duty........hot temps, towing, off roading, mud, dusty.
Yeah, I occasionally get those coupons from my dealership of choice in the mail. I also get them from the dealership I bought the truck at, but that is in California 3 hrs from here.....plus I've got over $55 in Chevy points to spend. Definitely going to use them on the more expensive serviceThat's the only way to do it. Check with your dealer website and see if they have any service discounts. Duraflaps. I'm shopping for mudflaps before I drag this truck cross country. You posted about you and your SIL's trucks. I'm wondering if either trucks are 1500s like my truck, and if so what options you went with. All paint is very thin and hard now. No matter who the manufacturer is. For example, Porsche and MB are no better. I just put another coat of Wolfgang Paint Sealer on Sunday. Will wax it at the end of the month. You would be surprised how much the slick surface will help. Also put on the DuraFlap's to keep the sides from getting torn up. My SIL got his ZR2 45 days before me and it has 4 chips on the side! I helped hip put them on Friday when we were out hunting. I also have front smoked rock shield on the bottom of the hood and PPF on the front exposed paint covering half of the hood, fenders, and the painted trim piece above the bumper.
I have no rock chips yet knock on wood!
Been doing this a long time and hate beat up paint from rocks from the roads I have to drive on especially since the tires I have now are just a tiny bit wider than the factory wiener skins 35/12.50-18. Heading out to NM next week again. In just a few days over a month have 5k already.
The WeatherTech mud guards look nice and have an excellent fit. Reasonably priced too.Duraflaps. I'm shopping for mudflaps before I drag this truck cross country. We both have 2500's. The Duraflaps are very flexible which is a must for us. I went with the thinner ones my SIL used the thicker ones. For me at 30k they are still perfect.Duraflaps.
