How Will Trump 25-Percent Tariffs Impact GM Vehicle Pricing?

EXACTLY, they all whine like bitches but have taken us for a ride for decades. We finally have someone with the balls (er, courage) to right the ship. Like Axe said, I’m also willing to tolerate some short term pain. They’ll all be licking our boots soon. The whole idea is to get investment, manufacturing and jobs back onshore or the whiners will lower their tariffs.
People forget that when Trump slapped tarrifs on ChiNa in his first term, they actually came to the table and negotiated. Then when Biden came in, they fucking destroyed us again and started to threaten to taking over Taiwan to get control of all the chip manufacturing. Fortunately Taiwan Semi Conductor has decided to put a bunch on chip manufacturing stateside. They have built a huge facility about 12 miles from my house and it started producing chips recently. They are now producing chips not much higher cost than in Asia. They announced another huge expansion a month ago.

Honda is building a new factory to build the next generation Civic in Ohio. That's their best selling vehicle.

We can do this shit and get back to a level playing field, but it won't be for the weak. Once it's back in balance the entire world will benefit from fair trade.

It's the only way we'll ever see a meaningful tax break. Otherwise we're just subsidizing every other country that leaches off us.

Here's how....... we'll build trucks in Indiana not Mexico. See if the Indianians (Hoosiers) can build back better. Maybe they'll add some hardener to the paint and clear coat.

I guarantee you that assembly defects on Mexico produced VINs are notably higher. Two different cultures. Mary won’t discuss that. Bean counters still happy I guess.

Best truck I ever owned was built in Mexico. Never had to go into the shop once except for maintenance and mods in 160k miles. Never had one before or since that never went to the shop with that many miles on it.

Does this mean if the ZR2 is built in Indiana it won’t run on guac and tacos anymore?
