What is the latest firmware?

Hey awesome people!

I’m just wondering what is the latest firmware update for our infotainment/car ? I do recall with my Dodge charger, there was a website for their Uconnect where i enter the VIN number and it lists the latest firmware, not sure if GM has that. Just took my truck earlier today for a recall that required an update (see below)

However after it’s done, I don’t see the patch level and the Android version changed (see below) appreciate posting the current one on your truck

GM’s update’s are not as granular as as U connect or Sync. There’s no website to check releases or any way to manually update with a USB drive.

Just because there is a new version, does not mean it will be pushed OTA. That process to be short and sweet has turned into a nightmare for GM with bricking vehicles.

Most updates are done at the dealer with An MDI if you complain. Otherwise I wouldn’t bet on getting an update.

I checked settings-system-about and it says the Android version 12 and patch level Feb 25 of 2024, wondering if you guys have the same. Iam OCD when it comes to to updates once Apple releases an update for the iPhone i update it instantly, but for my sweet truck not sure what’s the latest and i don’t trust the dealership.

I finally took my truck to the dealer for the Serial Data Gateway recall and when I got it back I checked the settings, but it still says my system is running Androud 10. Did not get updated to Android 12 like most people are reporting. Is this wrong? Was the Serial Data Gateway recall not done properly? What should I do about it? How do i get the Android 12 update?

The answer to that question is can you live with current bugs because as we all know the updates will come with its own set of “features”.

I was going to complain about audio cut outs and crap to see if they would update mine. However, I have read several folks said they received them new features Axe mentioned. Decided Id keep my old ones vs trading to have both new and old at the same time. LOL

Wise decision. Let them fix the new bugs and then get an update.

That's a good idea. Maybe I'll wait til Android 13 or 14 is available for our trucks and hope all the bugs are fixed. Lol !!!
