No. I did paint it though, so if you look up in it it's not as apparent. I also took the heat shield down (two bolts) and painted it, as well as painting the pipe up to the bend. It cleans up the side view a bunch.

@AXE can give you a link to a unit that is 3" longer than this one, and a bit more expensive. He lives in the high rent district, not down here with us poors.

I like my MBRP tip, but the paint ain't so great on this one. I've had serval chips develop around the outer lip of the rolled edge. I usually touch the paint up on these tips after a while anyway, but the powder coating doesn't seem durable on this one compared to the past.

MBRP Exhaust Tip

Well my first mod is in the books. I added this nice black MBRP exhaust tip to cover up the bazooka tube. I ran this on my last Duramax and it held up well. Just sprayed it with some VHT paint to freshen it up every once in a while. I'm not really done yet, I need to trim about 3 or 4 inches...

Not really, maybe a tad stiffer. But not anything extreme. I had the Peak 2.25” on my previous ZR2 with Cognito ball joint UCA. I really like the Dirt King UCA. They are the only ones I’ve come across that put an insert in for bolting the ABS brake lines back on the UCA. Everyone else uses zip-ties.

There are three main differences between the Peak and Dirt King upper control arms. Both offer well engineered and made products. Both will work well for their purposes.

Peak uses a Uniball with Teflon for its ball joint. They use Delrin Bushings at the inner pivot point and lastly, they use zip-ties to hold the ABS wires to the arms.

Dirt King uses heavy duty Moog ball joints. They use Probearing SilentSpin bushings at the inner pivot point, and lastly, Dirt King uses a threaded attachment for the ABS lines.

If you’re a serious off-roader, the Peak UCA are probably your best bet. Keep in mind, even though the Uniball sits in Teflon, it does require occasional maintenance. And the Derlin bushings are not “totally “ maintenance free either.

For those of us that drive more in the city or on the highway, and occasionally hit trails; I believe the Dirt King is a better choice. The Moog ball joint is an industry standard, maintenance free ball joint. The Probearing SilentSpin bushings offer “the ideal combination of a free-spinning inner sleeve, typical of poly bushings, with the maintenance-free and greaseless advantages of OE elastomer bushings”. And again, having a bolted attachment point for the ABS lines is a nice attention to detail.

In the end, I chose Dirt King over Peak based on past experiences with bushings similar to the Uniball and Derlin bushings. This experience was on a lowered truck, so that may have had something to do with my bad experience.
