Evening - I am two weeks into the ownership of my 2025 2500HD Bison (Duramax). There were some small issues identified on delivery such as a door out of alignment and parking sensor that had backed out of the AEV front bumper. That being said, I have noticed a "thud" in the rear end when turning and accelerating or hitting bumps. The installation team at the local dealership is struggling to hear of feel it, but I know it is there. Any thoughts?

You might be hearing some slop or stickiness in the driveline. The drive shaft moves in and out of the rear differential with movement in your suspension. There are times that shaft can get stuck and when it releases you get a clunking noise. The fix is to pull the shaft from the differential and lube it internally. You can spray some lube on the outside and see if it'll work it's way in, but the only real fix is to pull it. I had that happen in a previous lifted 2500HD.

Also check to make sure your spare tire is mounted solidly and the slack is fully taken up on the steel cable. It can tighten and loosen right back up if the gear is stripped or out of position in the crank assembly.

Better look at your rear bumper on passenger side and see if it's mounted crooked. Many of them are pushed forward and canted up towards quarter panel.
