What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Nope. Patience and a trim tool. Be careful not to scratch the grille coating under the FlowTie. The red part of the FlowTie may try to separate from the chrome part and can probably brake if you get to aggressive.

Here’s a picture of the back of the two parts. The tabs that hold the FlowTie are on the red part.

I have been looking for an example like this! Thanks for the post. I wish they, or a quality aftermarket company made different colored inserts. Maybe a couple years and the HD hitting the streets will help something like that come to pass, would just be nice to have the option for the red insert to be color matched to the truck

Matte black wrap on the hood feature and dark smoke tint on the tail lights right after LED bulb swap for the license plate and reverse lights.

That's a nice combination with the matte, but my crazy rabbit whole mind would say okay now time for wheels and tires 🤣

I'm really okay with the stock wheel tire package. I'm thinking about 1" spacers to square the stance. If we're able to integrate the dual mode exhaust from the '24 model year, I'd be all over that.

I put in the K&N Blackhawk last week, which sounds great and complements the truck. It's totally unnoticable with light input, but floods the cabin with 6.2 glory when getting on it.

My 11 month old sleeps right above where this is parked, so the Borla isn't an option. I'm glad to have the in-cabin noise without waking her up every time I leave.

I'm good with the stock tite/wheel also. The tires could be a little bigger, but it's got a pitbull stance and I like the black wheels better than the machined. Heading out on a 3-day camping trip now! I'll take lots of pictures and post when we get back

Last week,
Borla/GM performance exhaust
This week…..
Picked up the TPMS sensors for the boat trailer from the dealer (blew my rewards points on them!)
Matte Black window vent shields
Matte black hood protector
WeatherTech mud flaps on all 4 corners
S&B intake
Kicker sub and sub control knob
6 1/2” 2-way Morel component speakers in the front doors
6 1/2” 2 way Morel component speakers in the rear doors
SEAS silk dome tweeters in the front dash (same ones that are in my Linkwitz LX521.4 home speakers)
Tomorrow AudioControl D-6.1200 Amp going in and system tuning ( DSP built-in the amplifier)

I think I’ll take the weekend off and do something nice for the wife’s

did you purchase your exhaust at GM dealer or Borla retail??

GM Dealer. Ordered it through them, and they did the install. I might have paid a bit more, but it’s listed on my VIN as a dealer installed item, not a DIY job. Don’t know if that makes a difference, but I like it!

It DOES make a difference that it's a dealer upgrade, especially with insurance companies.

So here is a few shots from the camping trip on BLM Land. There was 2 different times I used both front and rear lockers climbing a steep 40* soft dirt/sand hill. We would had been stuck without the lockers! So happy with the performance! Can't wait to go again. We are going on a 3 week cross country trip in June to see family and my son and his wife and my grandkids. They live in South Dakota and my son said there are trails everywhere around where he lives! 😁

The last picture ending in 387 shows the hill. It doesn't really show the true view. The plateau where the tent and truck were parked was about 15-20 ft above the wash bed floor. By the campfire area it was 25-35ft higher that the river/wash bed. Very soft sand and dirt. I tried getting up without the lockers and it just dug in and started to bury, but I just crawled right up with the lockers.

Not yet, but when we go on the cross country trip in June I'm sure I will end up taking them off for more serious rock climbing.
