Banks makes good products and have a solid marketing team, but sometimes I feel that they try a little too hard to make their products seem better than others. What it really comes down to is the profile that can be programmed between the pedal and the throttle body. Other features are just icing and sometimes fluff.

I do not.....just stock with an heavy duty off road air filter. Much thicker and multiple layers. It's because of the dust here in the desert. It's fine silica dust

My truck, say when I first pull out on the road, If I gradually increase speed it's all good. If I start going then give it good bit of throttle, it seems like it "bogs down first" for lack of better words. Is this what the ultimate 9 fixes? Or would that still be there regardless? It only does it on initial take off though. If I am running down the road at say 30-40mph and punch it, it just goes.

Yes...it removes the throttle lag.

Banks markets hocus pocus, and their products CAN'T be better than others because most of them don't actually do anything. The Pedal Sphincter is a shining example. It produces exactly ZERO additional power...It just makes it all "feel" better. His air intake tubes for the Duramax? ZERO additional power, because there is no additional fuel introduced(or forced air) because the computer controls that. His latest gimmic is that the Duramax oil pan leaves a quart of dirty oil behind so his new oil pan doesn't.... I guess he never sticked the oil 100 miles after changing it, because that one quart left behind really doesn't matter. That guy should team up with BG Chemical so they can offer the ultimate hocus-pocus package.

Bogging may be different than throttle lag. The throttle lag is programmed in by GM for safety reasons. If your bogging it may be a result of mechaniccal issues throttle body, air intake, injectors. I think of bogging as too much air or fuel or both. Usually it'll try to power up, but stumble if it gets incorrect fueling.

You'll notice the throttle lag at any speed, but percieve it less at speed cause your 6000 lb truck is already moving.

I'll add that to my list of things to discuss when I eventually take it in for the recall and some other warranty items. Make sure its all good before I purchase a throttle controller I may not really need.

I feel like this thread also just cost me a couple hundred bucks - because there is this overwhelming urge to buy this immediately...
