Hopefully it stays steady. They do have a reputation for working well for a few weeks after the updates and then falling off again.

I had mine in today for some accessory and trim fixes. Have to order parts, so they'll do the radio when I come in for repair. I'm hopeful the fourth time is the charm

Yeah, this is the 3rd time on the IOK system I have and theyve all been ass but this one. I know have a weird indicator on the far right corner of the infotainment screen that tells me when the mic is in use, similar to apple.

Have an update on this.. It happened again this morning. Same symptoms - no sound, blinker sound gone. Steps I took. reset the system in safe mode. turned vehicle off after this step. waited a full 4 minutes. Toward the end of the shut down time there were a series of clicks and resets and all power except the master door lock light (little light by the mirror adjustments) was still on. At that point, I opened and closed the door. This powered up the usb ports (I have a little usb light plugged in). started her up and everything worked.

Hope this helps someone else. Still planning to open a case at my first service.

I'm new here and this is my first post in the forums, but it's funny to see this issue as something everyone has experienced. There's no rhyme or reason as to why it happens either. It'll happen 3 times a month, then won't happen for 3 months or so. The "safe mode" reset you mention is actually the official GM fix (since I threw a fit about it after it happened ON MY WAY HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP). A $90k truck, and for my radio to work, I have to safe reboot, THEN shut the truck off, wait at least 2 full minutes, and restart. So, the only option is to beat the dog crap out of my starter instead of some genius at GM finding the glitch in the software? Got it.
