Yeah, it's a mixed bag at best. Our main exports are agricultural products, airplanes, vehicles, and technology. We definitely need a reciprocal trade agreement, but so long as ChiNa is our main trading partner and buys our debt, we'll never leverage them cause they have one up on us. That's why if we continue to run out country fiscally irresponsible, we'll dig a bigger whole all the way to ChiNa.

And it's our own fault. American's invented just about every new technology in the last 150 years but then greed took hold and all production had to be outsourced to the lowest bidder. And these countries have become rich. Not necessarily the people. Labor is cheap overseas. I would love to see more American made products. Will it happen?

I sell and install electronic products. One of my suppliers, everything is made in China, then shipped to Mexico to be assembled, then imported for sale to the US. Another supplier is in Canada where everything was made there up until a few years ago. Now a lot of it is made in China now too and then imported to the US.

Oh, BTW, I like your truck. Have one exactly like it in my driveway. Mines a gasser.

Trump just announced reciprocal tarrifs. There are a lot more US manufacturers that support this because there is no way to compete when a country has huge tarrifs on American goods.

We'll never get past the global trade amongst nations, as it's to interdependent, but we can make them fair for everyone and not let America get ripped off.

We'll see where it shakes out, but I'm willing to tolerate some short term pain to get long term benefits.

I love it when you read shit like Australia's PM said these tariffs are not an act of a friend....so what does that make them? It's ok if we subsidize their government with our money but not the ok around. They can all fuck off.
