37's on my 2024 zr2 bison 2500hd.

Great info , gents. Thanks for the insight.

We are picking up our ZR2 HD DMax on the 9th, then moving back out to Montana from Florida. A 3 Peak tire is a must for us. I've heard a lot of great things about the new Goodyear Boulder MT's (link here). Ill drive the truck out on there OE's but will switch them out for the Boulder MT's once we are settled. They don't offer a the 37's in an 18" wheel option or 13.50" wide option for the 20" wheel. So, 37x12.50r20 is what I'll go with. Ive had the Falken WP AT3W's in the past and loved them but these Goodyears seem to be some of the best 3 peak tires from what I've heard across multiple forums.

Has anyone aired down or articulated the suspension to find any rub points on the non-Bison ZR2 with 37x12.50's? As @AXE mentioned the 0 to -12mm offset will help but I don't want to go with more of a negative offset than I have to.

Thanks for the help.
I was able to find out the stock Bison wheels were +33, I'm sure they all are the same. That means if you went to a +12 or 0 offset, you'd probably get the clearance you need on the UCAs. Your aftermarket wheels could negate some of that if they are wider, as will the tires and heavy shoulder lugs. The only real way to know is test fit one. If you can find someone willing to mount a tire on a rim and then to the truck you'd know. Most won't don't that unless you buy them.

Update, I now have 9k miles on the truck, tires have never rubbed once anywhere! Also milage has really started to get much better on truck. Recent trip to lake Havasu to purchase a boat, average unloaded driving between 68and 82 mph was 18.9 u loaded with the 37's. Towing back average for 1400 miles was 15.8. Truck now unloaded driving 65 to 68 will average 22.6 driving with cruise. I have not checked milage yet with the stealth module. BTW truck has s&b airbox.

Just pulled the trigger on a set of wheels/tires for my 2025. The wheels are Icon Recon SLX 18x9 +12 and the tires are Toyo Open Country R/T Trail 37x12.50-18. I should have everything installed by the end of the month. Should fit without any issues but I’ll report back with pictures and any issues.

Sounds Cool... Please Do!

Hi all - just wanted to post a picture of the 37s. I been busy the past few weeks and haven't taken any good photos yet but I wanted to post at least what I had. The wheels I originally ordered were on backorder so I got the compression HDs.

Please Send more pics/angles and let us know the exact set up when able... Looks really Good!

I'm Guessing what he said in post# 44 above?? Looks like it but not sure. They Look Great!
Yeah it looks like it since the tires are still pretty flush with fender. I run those Toyos on my 1500 and they seem to be holding up well, perhaps the best I've run. I put a set on my previous 2500HD when I sold it to my boy and they don't seem to be holding up well, lots of chips on the lugs, maybe due to the weight of the truck.

What is the exact size of the tires and wheels and offset?
The wheels are 18x9 with a +12 offset. The tires are 37x12.50-18. I wanted the tread to be flush with the fender. I live eight miles off pavement and don’t want mud and rock chips living on the side of my truck every day. The +12 offset is almost an inch difference from the AEV wheels.

This is the first set of Toyo’s I’ve ever run. I had a few sets of ridge grapplers and they started to break down and chunk at around 20k miles on my wife’s wrangler. I had them on my TRX with the same result. I wanted a hybrid tire and these fit the bill since there aren’t a lot of offerings for 37s. If these start chunking I’ll go to an all terrain. I know the KO3 and the MT Baja boss ATs will be offered in a 37 later this year.

Sorry guys - the 37s have been on a few weeks and I've been pretty busy so pictures are late. For reference, I'm running 45psi all the way around and I had very very minimal rubbing in reverse only on the front of the wheel liner. I cranked the bars up 1/4" and it solved the problem. Here are a few pictures for reference since I know it's always an issue regarding rubbing, fitment etc... I think I may actually be able to return the torsion bars back to factory setting and push the wheel liner forward (bending the inner bracket back). I haven't looked into it in detail yet, but it's a thought. I'd be happy to help if anyone has any questions.

Sorry.......I forgot you already told me that in your DM.....lol. Hopefully they hold up on the heavy truck.! They are otherwise a very good tire!

Definitely a lot better clearance on the UCAs with that offset. Looks good!

No worries! I’m hoping they hold up for a while but we’ll see. Thanks!
