Tire pressure system issue

So I got a small issue, I had got a screw in my tire, the pressure went low and I got a notification on the cluster, I put the spare tire on with the proper psi and I still have the tire pressure system alert on the dash, how do I clear this or do I need to take the truck in to get serviced?

Spare tires don't have a sensor in them. It's reading your flat tire.

Agreed. According to Discount, no American manufacturer has TPMS's in the spares but imports do.

My Jeep does. Not sure on the Ram, never had to use it.

Edit: The spare is the same tire but a steelie? Any one swap to a stock rim and TPMS and do five tire rotations? Makes the set last a lot longer.

Anyone have the part numbers for the stock wheel and TPMS? Not showing up in the online discount sites.

The spare is a matching tire and wheel to stock. Which is why it's so annoying they didn't mount a TPMS from the factory. And yes, 5 tire rotations are the jam.

Yep had one put in my spare a while back at Discount tire for $20
