Warm Greetings everyone. I've been reading blogs for various projects in the past, but this is the first one for me to post. Two days ago I purchased a 2024 ZR2 Bison. It wasn't what I was looking for, I just wanted a ZR2. The deal was good and my wife ( I know, right) pushed me into pulling the trigger. I traded my 2020 Z71 Silverado LTZ that had the Trail Boss package dealer added ( again, the deal was what lead me to letting them do it).
Already put 100 miles on it, through DC traffic and off road in Southern MD. Very happy with it. I took my N-Fab steps off my 2020 and slapped them on the Bison. They look like they belong.

I've always been one of those guys that just added mods way later than I should have. Like cold air induction. Looking for some guidance on which one. In the past it was always K&N, but the oil impregnated filter was identified as the reason my transmission failed on my 2009 Silverado. I only changed the filter to a dry one for the 2020.
What homework has been done?

Welcome 👍 Your wife sounds like a bad influence, you should keep her!

Unfortunately @securityguy is currently getting a bionic arm or I’m sure he would have already recommended an intake for you 😉 but the synopsis of his thesis paper is that none of the aftermarket intakes flow or filter better than the stock system, nor will they give you any added power or mileage. If you want to clean up the engine bay a little the Airaid Jr system is decent.
