I upgraded my ‘22 ZR2 with a 6.2 to a ‘25 with the 3.0 Duramax. Had it a few weeks and I am really impressed at the overall everyday drive ability with the diesel. It accelerates very well and is very responsive. Like others have mentioned, it’s the passing where it falls a little short, but still does well. Mileage and range are impressive. I do mainly short trips, so I will have to take her out for a run once in awhile, but that’s all good.

Kept my high clearance steps and Rough Country tonneau cover from my ‘22. Added KO3’s(stock size) and ordered a Banks iDash gauge.

Anyone trying to decide on the gas or diesel ZR2, I really enjoy driving the diesel a lot. Diesel seems more suited for the truck.

Ouch. If I had any feelings, you might’ve hurt one of them.
Enjoy your strawberry flavored seltzer at BeeDubs lol.
That's the beauty of this forum with the exception of a few daffodils most can take a joke.

I'm more of a zinfandel kinda guy!

Pinkies up

It is a good forum for the most part. I learned not to take things too seriously 8 years ago when life threw me a curveball.

I definitely knew you were a pinky up guy when taking a drink, but I didn’t think you could handle wine. Hope you enjoy filling your truck with premium every 100 miles. 😂

Ignore these gasheads...Oil burners FTMFW!
Diesels are better than gas because:

1. Stations always have plenty of diesel when gasoline panic buying starts during hurricane season
2. You can fill it up to the top of the filler neck without check engine lights from vapor canister sensors
3. When the hurricane panic buying begins and the station is out of gas, it's fun to watch the gassers line up behind you and wait, only to find out it was in vain
4. Your peak torque is at 1500rpm, theirs is at 4000rpm...Guess who has an easier time at the boat ramp?
5. Hot chicks know homos drive gassers
6. When the drunk at the bar with the Ford asks you for a jumpstart, you can look him in the eye and say, "I can't...I have a diesel"
7. #6 really works because most drunk Ford drivers can't figure out you're just BSing them
8. Diesels make panties drop quicker
9. The banana on the Fruit of the Looms owns a gasser

@MrScottly I thought the same thing about #1 until we rolled into town from a long trip the day before Milton and paniced when I had to go to three stations to find diesel.

Yea, I heard about some of that. That was kind of a unique situation in that the Port of Tampa lost it's ability to deliver...So while gas is being bought out by the truck full, diesel is normally a slower seller...Until EVERYTHING stops shipping, then it ALL runs out. There was a three day time period after Helene that diesel was the only fuel available until they started trucking gas from JAX. Of all places, CircleK was the first ones to ship it from JAX...Others soon followed.
