New Member with a Smashed 24 ZR2

Hi Guys,

So I purchased a 24 Slate Grey ZR2 Duramax from Copart. What can I say, The price was good. They say it hit a mailbox. Must have been a solid steel mailbox from the looks of the damage. I hope to fix it, and will document here.

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it !!!!!

I remember seeing a soccer moms Suburban that looked a lot like that after she hit my neighbors brick mailbox at about 35-40mph. She actually tried to drive away from it after getting out and seeing the pile she made. I guessed it wasn’t the first time something like that happened to her.

Hmmmm I see. Most Texas mailboxes are solid brick. It should be possible to do that damage. Thanks for the tip.

That's gonna be quite a project! If the frame isn't bent, you might get lucky. It's going to be hard to source parts. There are still backorders on a lot of parts for repairs. Maybe you can source some from the junkyard or eBay, but the prices on some of these parts is ridiculous.

Depending upon how much you paid, it might be better to part it out and make some cash for a running rig.
