Hello, I recently got a 25 ZR2 with the L8T and put a Procharger on it. It has more go, but I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. I ordered some SW long tube headers on Friday, and they're a four-week turnaround. I was also looking into a cam swap, but I really didn't see any good info. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

BonecrussherSS on the tube's might be able to help and there are 2 guys on the forum that are into HP. They should chime in.

That rig weighs 8500 lbs and sits large, you won't feel as much benefit from additional HP unless it gets +50-60HP and 80-100+ ft lbs of torque. Harder to do on a gasser!

That's why I did the procharger first. 50% power increase.
Hey there,
As a member here.. I do projects regarding new and old.
Done many LS projects as they are easy and reliable.. Tons of aftermarket parts available for the early projects.
So it appears that warranty is not an issue..
So first the L8T doesn't possess all the DFM and other restrictions . But it does possess Global B
Hardware configuration..
As you speak of the enhanced pro charge application, this would require ECM modification to properly tune. Along with TCM cooperation.. this alone is doable but with cost.
This mod alone is in excess of 18k from my biz.
To add The Stainless works is another mods 6k and tune. Many other mods are required ....Cam, heads..springs retainers ECT..
Pistons, rods, crank for improved lower strength . Applied turbo is probably your best lower cost option. This includes removal of factory set up .
GM doesn't make things easy..do to current laws.. Fords are more favorable for serious modification.
So to conclude save your money and drive it!
Unless you have around 80k to spare for 680 hps and 595 pound feet to gain.
Or I can sell ya a 572 c.i. for around 55k
Making 1050hp and 820 ft lbs

Did you dyno it before and after? If you're putting out 600 HP and can't feel it, your then it ain't working without the necessary tuning.

I had to send the PCM to procharger for a "general tune" I had reached out to HP Tunners, and it's not supported with them yet.

No, dyno, I didn't say you can't feel it I just said I wasn't very impressed.
To keep in op range it would be a waist and underdive pulleys wouldn't even give 80 hps and less than 50 pound feat. For a cost of around 12k . Not much bang for your buck.
Header wouldn't add much . Most loose power!
The whole thing is drivability!

Curious given how “soft” the shocks are on these trucks if just getting it to the ground efficiently might be part of the lack of “feel”???

My Gen one 700 HP Raptor with Icons will rip your head off with a smile 😁
Eventually The Chevy will get there!
The Global thing definitely sucks
Lingenfelter performance engineering is making good strides.

I'd just buy a tuned LB7 or L5P with compound turbos, a Suncoast transmission, a 500 HP tune and lay down 1000HP and 1500 ft lbs of torque.

Whistle while you work!

Yep both good builds...
I do both for pulling.
Stack tunes until the base caps crack at the base web..
Fun stuff .. Pricey stuff but man they haul the mail...!

Yep. If you watch to the end, he goes max power and smokes the turbos. As you said, big power requires a big pocket book and lots of work and maintenance.

My LML had a +135 HP tune that ran 530HP and 1000 ft lbs of TQ. With that tune and my setup it was on the ragged edge of putting the power down reliably without better suspension and wider track tires. If you hit the skinny pedal at 30 mph it would smoke the heavy 35s tires The +110 HP tune was much better at laying down the power without losing traction. If you go big power and don't upgrade the transmission, chassis/suspension, and other parts it's hard to make use of all that power.

How much boost are you running?

I don't think headers will be what you're looking for either, unless you just want loud. Depending on what boost you're running, I'm willing to bet your factory exhaust is not a significant bottleneck.

I'd spend my money on a GOOD tune, with someone who know what they're doing.

So I've heard quite a bit in regards to the pro charger / super charger. On the 50% gain in power thing. 😂. Again we're are the numbers
Again not a word regarding true numbers!
Some say they offer up two three year warranty...Read them closely! There talking about the procharger. Not your blown motor lol
Few are offering complete fix and repair...lol
Don't take it to the dealer there just going to laugh out loud .😅😂🤣😭🤫🫣
There is only one GM dealer that will support this kind of mod and there probably not in your back yard.. So if you don't mind spending money and you didn't buy for the warranty then by all means live it up... But just a word from the wise find a chassis Dyno and see the real word results , So your 6.2 ltr. Is pushing approx 365 at the rear wheel before mode I'm only seeing between 490 - 495 after the mod
Lol you do the math...and for how much depending on you doing it or a service tech
Lol I get at least 6k +
Just saying
And if you think powder rods can sustain more power good luck with that !

I thought he was talking about the L8t 6.6 in the HD not the 6.2?
