external bed light switch - anyone have it?

T-Taps are the devil! For the love of god I wish someone would make them illegal.

Using them on an external wire harness that is exposed to the elements is asking for corrosion build up. That harness you have to plug into at our bumper isn’t just a small section, it runs all the way under the cab. If that power wire starts filling up with corrosion you will have non stop issues with that circuit. Good luck.

I did this. On its own switch wired to the battery and it lights the box of the truck and enough cord to go around the whole truck if I need; checking tires, checking under the hood, etc

I hate T-taps.

Finally had time to wire up and mount the LED bed lights to the switch panel. It has a remote to change the style/colors. The kit came with three strips. I put one on each side and one under the forward top rail for the rack. The strips have the glue on the back, but that adhesive is junk so I zip tied everything nice and tight. Certainly adds much more light to the bed/cargo area. Way better than the stock lighting. I have the decked system and it blocks the two front stock cargo lights, so I chose this setup. Very pleased with the results.
