20 mpg in city on a 6.2L V8. Love it.

Just hauled a 16 foot tandem axle trailer with 2500 lbs of fence posts out to the ranch this weekend. 12.6 mpg on the way out and 18.8 mpg on the way back without the trailer but in windy/rainy conditions. Not too bad overall

I was hauling other things.... in mexico.:p

I laugh at all of this. My truck hasnt seen better than 16mpg with me pampering the fun pedal and will never see 100mph. My vette will yield me over 35mpg if im gentle and get me well over 200mph if I decide to go there. Both are equally fun, but like securityguy said. "If your getting 17.3 then your not driving it right". Hammer that long pedal on the right and drive it like you stole it. Screw the mpg, if you can afford this truck you can afford to buy some fuel for it.

Can I get an AMEN!

Not sure why I have to prove anything but here goes,
I hammered that pedal the whole trip home. I don't drive EZ. You can see the speedo cruising at 82 and that was the slow time. We got stuck first in line at some construction and when we left there was nobody behind me. Mrs EZ looked over while i was cruising 90 mph and knew why.
Try to get around the semis on Hwy 40 and it's floored.
I never even looked at mpg when I bought the truck.
I wanted the truck and the HP that went with it.
That lil duramax is 2 seconds slower in 0 to 60 time. Didn't even test drive it.
This might explain it a little moreView attachment 13667
Nice bike and I also see 2 donkeys watching over your bike 😀

Is this touring bike off roading with you or you are just parked on the shoulder?

Wife and just took a hike up in the mountains, and while we averaged “the average” (~10-12mpg) going up, got up to 45.5mpg on the way down! Of course, that was coasting pretty much all the way down…but when we finally stopped after about 20 miles of driving, she was shut off showing 29.8mpg. Kind of cheating, I know, but it is kind of fun “hypermiling” with a 6.2!
