Woman Ran the Light

Yeah it's a damn shame. Lady was like I didnt even see the light. I was looking at the other one that was green. Granted it was 50+ yards away. Worse still, she didnt even slow down when she had to see my big ass truck.

Hopefully it wont be too crazy. I will call the PD tomorrow to see if the report is complete then I'll call her ins company to get the ball started. Also will take a trip to the tow company lot tomorrow to pull everything out the back of it, tools etc.

Would hate to have seen what happened had we been in the wife's Wrangler.
Wranglers are death traps...happy you weren't driving that!

Went and grabbed stuff out of the truck. Went ahead and started the claim through my insurance company. I pay them every month so they may as well be the one to fight with the other to get their money back.

Added a few pictures I took while out there since it was daylight and can see better. Doesnt look like any of the painted surfaces, other than the bumper, was harmed. Hopefully GEICO gets it over to the collision center pretty quick so this can get going.

To be continued...

Just waiting on the estimate right now. I did request a black flow tie and black/red ZR2 for the grill since the grill is destroyed. Too bad it didn't pop that scoop too. They could go ahead and fix the paint etc and throw on a new/better looking scoop.

Small setback with this. GEICO told me today that Progressive called them and claimed the fault. Due to this, GEICO took a backseat and is letting Progressive handle everything. Now I have to wait on Progressive to send out someone to look at my truck and do their own estimate before anything gets started. Sucks since there is already an estimate for the truck completed. Im guessing the truck's repair is going to be pushed back at least a week.

Still unknown when Progressive is getting out to look at and do their own estimate on the truck. However, all parts were ordered by the collision center. Definitely a risk on their part. However, most parts are due in 30 Jan with the exception of the headlight that isnt due in til 5 Feb. Looking to be about mid Feb to get my ride back.

I will say though, since Progressive has taken over, I got to give back the Tuscon and get a full size truck. They gave me a Ram. I will say I think the seats are a bit more comfortable than my ZR2.

Ram has nice interiors! Have always liked the ones my Dad has owned.

This is the first one I have been in but I’d have to agree. It’s much better than my Silverado.

Before I got the zr2 I was thinking about a ram limited. Was nice looking but then I read about issues it had and figured I’d go with the devil I know. Not to mention the “Chrysler” places here like to try to get out of warranty work more than others.
