What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Will just upgrading speakers make noticeable improvement to be worth it (22 zr2), or do you have to go full system / software upgrades with the extra base subwoofer. I have two large dogs, we removed the under rear seat storage to give the dogs more room.
It made a big difference for me. You won't gain any volume but the clarity is much better. Just make sure the speakers are 3.5 ohm or less or you will lose some volume. I used infinity reference 6x9 for the front doors, infinity reference 6.5 for the rear doors and Kenwood kfc-x2c in the dash. If you use the Kenwoods in the dash remove the inline bass restrictors they don't play well with the bose amp.

Tinted the the windows with ceramic tint and swapped out the plain Florida tag for one more appropriate.

Mounted up the new Multy mountain bike rack today. It’s a stake pocket mount, and I won’t need to run the rack all winter, so need to find stake pocket covers for the front pockets. Anyone know where to find them? Easy to find rear covers, but not front covers. Thanks in advance!

Those garage doors must be really tall to clear the rack

Pissed off at it again. ONstar stopped working. Light was off. Rebooted system and it came back with a check engine light. That stayed on for a day. Pointed to a emissions issue. I am just about done with this truck and all its software issues. Probably going to trade it in and get a BMW X5.

Added the wireless keypad to unlock the doors. Also added a stubby antenna and replaced the chrome 6.2 emblems with red and black ones. It’s the little things.

Spent a bunch of money and the truck looks almost the same. But it rides better so that’s nice.

Added deaver r81 rear springs with dirtking long travel shackles. This ended at the same ride height as stock but without blocks. The springs are capable of way more travel if the shocks would allow it.

And I swapped to 17” wheels with zero offset and 35x11.5 tires. The tires are true 35s and c-rated, but the new offset and narrower tire doesn’t rub on the crash bar at full lock anymore.

Here’s a little before/after:

Here’s pics of the new setup. Had to trim studs about 1/4” to fit 1.5” spacers which I didn’t think was necessary reading some posts but I guess. Glad I didn’t go bigger tires as I had to do some trimming of plastic on rear front fenders.

That’s a huge difference. Looks good.

Wow. I was almost ready to pull the trigger on 1.5” spacers over 1.25” because I thought there was no cutting required on the bolts and no trimming required for rubbing. Which brand spacers did you get?
