What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Very nice! I like how they did the edges and how it folds up front so it doesn't block window. Probably sacrifices some cargo capacity.

If I need the full bed, there's a quick disconnect tab. I can take the cover out from the side rails completely. It's a 30 second uninstall/reinstall. Family owned, made in the USA, in business for 24 years. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend this cover. They offer a pretty decent military discount.

Installed Roll-n-Lock Tonneau Cover.
So I checked with vendor and they said "What ever your rack is rated for, that is what the XT MaxTrak is rated for.". This indeed is a great to hear.

But, I would also like to know if somebody has actually used the T-Slot based rack for RTT and if yes, what brand/model.

Please let know your thoughts.

Last week,
Borla/GM performance exhaust
This week…..
Picked up the TPMS sensors for the boat trailer from the dealer (blew my rewards points on them!)
Matte Black window vent shields
Matte black hood protector
WeatherTech mud flaps on all 4 corners
S&B intake
Kicker sub and sub control knob
6 1/2” 2-way Morel component speakers in the front doors
6 1/2” 2 way Morel component speakers in the rear doors
SEAS silk dome tweeters in the front dash (same ones that are in my Linkwitz LX521.4 home speakers)
Tomorrow AudioControl D-6.1200 Amp going in and system tuning ( DSP built-in the amplifier)

I think I’ll take the weekend off and do something nice for the wife’s birthday ;)
Sound a lot better with the speaker/amp upgrades?? I'm definitely considering doing this as well, but I have expensive taste in speakers and know it will not be cheap. lol

I finally got around to installing the following:

  1. AMP-76255-01A - AMP Research Power Step Running Boards
  2. GUC-GC14020 - Gator EFX Hard Fold Tonneau Cover
Wife is thrilled she doesn't have to do pull-ups to get in anymore. The Gator hard-fold is great too, looks nice and took about 30min to install. Lighting installation and wiring for the AMP steps was time-consuming, took about 4 hours with the help of a neighbor who does this for a living.

What next?!

Also have a Paragon, and love it.

The only tradeoffs (and I knew these when getting it):
  • The ramp at the front of the sides of the truck bed is the path that the panels side wheels take as they stack, so basically if you have anything in the very front of the truck bed, you can't retract the cover because they panels will hit as they move downward on the side ramps. Basically you need to be careful to not put anything in the top 14" or so of the front foot of the truck bed - this could happen when you load the truck, or inadvertently if you have something closer to the rear and hard brake.
  • They sell direct - so if you're like me and installing this particular model for the first time, there's a learning curve. It takes a little finesse to get the cover to operate smoothly, and right away with the rubber gaskets on the side rails to seal out water it's fairly tight until the rubber starts to adjust to where the panels sit when it's closed.
All-in-all, awesome cover. People ask when I open it where I got it, because it opens and closes quickly and easily.
