I tried searching through here to see if this issue was talked about and didn't see it, so I apologize if this is a repeat question. It's been just about a week and the "speed limit" indicator on the HUD and on the speedometer has disappeared. I scrolled though the apps and Google Maps is just a grey screen with a blue arrow that just floats on the screen. It doesn't tell you where you are or what road you're on. I had an issue with the map freezing up once and fixed it with the hard reboot (which I use at least once a month for the no volume issue on the infotainment system). I've done multiple reboots and did the check for update thing with no success. Anyone have a fix that won't have me making another visit to the dealership?

This is on a 2024 2500 ZR2 since I was stupid and forgot to mention that.

I deleted my Google account from the system once and mine went away. Soon as I added it back, It worked again. I do not have any data packages.

You have to have some sort of data connection for Google Maps to work. I don't pay for OnStar or GM's data connection, I just plug my phone into the truck and turn on the hotspot on my phone. That allows Google, Spotify and all the other bells and whistles that need data to work. My phones data rate is way better than what GM wants to charge, and I can use the VPN on my phone for a bit of added protection.

My 22 has done this twice since beginning of the year. Called Onstar and they said all looked good on there end. Then it just started working again. Last time I was in the app and went into more settings then WiFi Hotspot. It said updating and I clicked on save. Not sure if that did anything but next time I drove it was working again.

I have no data in my truck at all. No on star and I don’t turn on hot spot. I just use wireless CarPlay. My speed limit signs show up.

Wanted to add I do have the data plan and OnStar connect. When my HUD speed limit went blank the WiFi hotspot wasn’t working as well.
