I put on board air and Airlifter airbags on my ZR2. I had air on my Duramax and used it pretty often, so I wanted it on my ZR2. Wasn't sure if it would fit on the ZR2, but found some tanks on Amazon that fit great between the cab body and frame. Mounted dual compressors on the inside of the...
I put some Air Lift Super Duty 5000 air bags and Wireless One compressor on my rig today. It cost about $1350 for them shipped from RealTruck.com. I think Etrailer.com might be a little cheaper. I did mine in the driveway and I did not drop the spare because that only helps if you have a lift...

The rear suspension is the same as a trail boss other than the fancy shocks.
And there is also RAS. A quick search will bring up plenty to read.
Has any one added air bags to the ZR2? Mine squats a lot and it didn’t on my 2022 Z71 or my 2016 Tundra. This is only a 19ft boat and had very little weight on the bow or in the back of the truck. The boat only had 1/3 of a tank of gas too.
I hooked up to my new travel trailer with only about 700 pounds of tongue weight and my truck squatted 4 to 6 inches. It was very exaggerated so I put a new Kurt for P weight distribution hitch on the trailer and it didn’t seem to help very much so I’m thinking I may also need airbags
The 1500s are pretty soft. I was the one that started that first thread. WD hitch helps some, but they only have a payload of around 1300 pounds. You put a couple hundred pounds in the cab and hang another 700 off the bumper it's going to sag. Air bags make a big difference. Trailboss bags will fit, But they limit the up travel on a ZR2 and cause it to ride stiffer then stock. Especially when you hit bigger bumps. Not sure if any companies have came out with a ZR2 specific kit yet. If you at least run cradles with the bags and keep them at zero when you aren't towing. It will help some with the ride.
