I added a set of Diode Dynamics DD7423P lights to me rear bumper. These have 3 modes to them, bright white, bright red and dim red, and they perfectly replicate backup, brake, hazard and running light modes.
The AEV bumpers make this very simple. You can use the factory bumper mount bolts to attach the LED pods. The rear lights are mounted on the bottom bolts of the bumper. With the smaller pods mounted there, there in no detraction from the departure angle of the. truck.
The video and pic I attached were taken during the day, so you can tell how bright the lights are. They are SAE certified so legal to use on the road. I ordered a custom wiring harness from ginnwire.com (they also have a Facebook page). They make a plug and play harness that attached onto the factory rear light harness, no splicing, or error messages. Ginnwire makes custom cables for emergency vehicles.
