Time to Revive the Thread! Ordered a New 2025 2500 HD ZR2 Gasser! Ordered at my local Dealership on 1-3-2025. Received a call that the Truck Order was picked up by GM on 1-10-25 and was told to expect at least 6 weeks. I am personally thinking way more time than that... but I am Hopeful!

I ordered on 10/27/24. Target Production week was 12/6/24. Pretty accurately, the truck got produced around that time. It got delivered to my dealer on the 1/8/25.
You will likely get yours sooner than you think.

I just received the code: "3300-Order Scheduled for Production" from the dealer. The last thing I heard from them was on 1-10-25 that the order was picked up by GM. I was told the approximate waiting time was 6 weeks from initial order pickup from dealer... We will see.

Well, I’ll say you’re in for a long wait. I ordered my 2024 2500 ZR2 from the local dealer here in eastern NC in August of 2023. They told me it could be upwards of 90 days… we were fine with that. Halloween cane and went, Thanksgiving came and went, and around Christmas I got fed up. I did some research, broadened my search and had to go all the way out to Tennessee, but there was a dealership there with about 5 or 6 HD ZR2s. Contacted them, worked out a way for one to get held for me and made the 7 1/2 hour trip to pick it up the first week of January 2024. There are dealerships with the truck you want, you may just need to find them. Waiting on that dealership to get the quota for that vehicle could take forever.

Your dealer has no allocation and are just stringing you along. I would move on from them.

I agree with AXE and BogueZR2. My Dealer initially said they didn't know how long it would take to receive a custom order ZR2 HD, maybe 3-6 months and that it all depended on where the dealership had allocations and when GM actually picked up the order after the dealership submitted it. I was ok with that so I ordered it with the Dealer. A week Later My Dealer called me and sounded very excited... Told me My order was picked up by GM and it should only be 6 weeks now. That was January 10th... So at the end of this month I hope I have a truck... but I'm not betting on it.

If you wanna order a custom truck you have to order from a large volume dealer. The larger volume dealers have more allocations, or more availability, to order custom vehicles and GM will accept the order quicker than from a smaller volume dealer, which means you will get your vehicle quicker.

Agreed, I'm pretty sure my dealership is a bigger one. Seems like my Order has processed quicker than most, based off everything that I have researched. However I still don't have a truck yet and it could still be a long time before I take delivery. Fingers crossed!

My Dealer Just contacted me. My Truck is now at Stage "3400 Broadcast for Production" and should hit the actual assembly line real soon. Supposedly it don't take long once it gets in the actual line, Anyone here know or have experience with timeframe of actual completion from this stage??
