Opinions on Tires - Factory Replacement size

First post and digging up an old post.

Landpilot , curious now for a year update on the Duratracs ?

Bought a 22 ZR2 with 22K on the OD . Dang these GY Territory tires are LOUD !
They spin when barely touching the pedal in the rain !
Had Duratracs back in 2009 on a 08 Chevy and they were quite and great in both the rain and snow.
Had to travel I80 from Susanville through Reno to Roseville twice a week .
Never had a problem up to 15K I put on them before selling the truck.
Have the Falken Wildpeaks on our Toyota FJ they have had problems balancing them since we hit 12K on them.
Noise not bad , what off road and snow we've done was good.
Had a set of BFG AT KO before going with the Falken's , they were good until about 15K when the soft outer rubber wore off then the hard inner rubber for the Mileage advertised kicked in. They were spinning and slipping around corners in the rain.

Toyo RT Trails.....mine hardly look used after 13.5k miles. I've rotated them three times and they've never been rebalanced. They ride great, tow great, and low noise. Might be the best tires I've owned, but are spendy!

I got a detailed post on then.

Replaced my GY with KO3s and love them. Much better tire in my opinion.

So I’ve got 17K miles on them now and they are still as smooth and quiet as they were the day I had them put on. Treadwear has been great, I have them rotated with every oil change which is about 3-4K miles.

These are a new version of the DuraTrac, the “RT” series. Still have the same ratings as the old tire, but they have an improved tread design to help shed some of the noise but with all the same performance; I haven’t looked lately, but when I was first looking at them, the only reviews I could find were from Australia and they were all very positive. Would I buy them again, hell yes!

Thanks for the update !

Been following this thread and your DuraTracs landpilot. I'm at 34500 miles now and the stock territorys have been great. I read that not a lot of members like them and that they're noisy, but I'm not really getting that with these. I've been running them at 38 cold and then down to 22 off road. Looking at the new DuraTracs and was wondering how they've been doing so far? Going to stick with stock size since I can't beat the mileage I get. What pressure have you been running the Duras? And when you go off-road, how far have you been dropping them? Thank you in advance!
