Off-road Photos

I might.... We are leaving from Vegas to S. Dakota tomorrow till the 26th. Not the nation wide we had planned, but at least I'll get to be with my son and daughter-in-law and my two grandkids for Father's Day and my wonderful wife for our 21st wedding anniversary during the week. I'll take pics and update when we get back. My son said there are a lot of rock crawling trails around where we are going. So maybe....
Some nice country between tha destination! Have a fun trip!

Awesome! My kind of place! Used to fish at Tobin and Que Pelle for walleye. I'm in North Dakota just south of the border from you right now. ZR2 is 1500 miles south, so I had to settle for a Ram 2500, but I did a little work with my old Dmax.

The wheeling around northern Saskatchewan is pretty mild, lots of back roads with whoops and puddles from the random storms. There’s some “crawling” I can do cause it’s the Canadian Shield (Laurentian Plateau), like the stuff I’m on, but really, the biggest challenge is the road between La Ronge and Wadin Bay (where my cabin is). It’s 30kms if the shittiest, pot holed, most rutted out highway—with zero shoulders—you’ll ever have the misfortune to drive. For most vehicles, driving 100kph (60mph for you yanks) is a massive challenge. I knew this was the road the DSSV shocks were made for. I can confidently drive 130 (80mph) with little drama, and hit 150 (92) on the straights.

Here is a few more from the trip to SD. Absolutely beautiful breathtaking views both on the way there and on the way back. Being in the desert for the last 20 years, it was a nice change. The Black hills, Mt. Rushmore , Crazyhorse, Hill city, Custer, Needles highway, the 1880 railways, soo much more All of it is just amazing! Such a refresher. We haven't been on a vacation like that and over 5 years and we were long overdue. Wife did the mud puddle... Lol

Up on Genoa peak road. Easy first frode for the silver snake. These trucks are spectacular on rocky bumpy paths.

YES!!! Those multi-matics are outstanding! Also you can DEFINITELY tell the difference between the normal and off road drive modes. I forgot to turn it to off-road when I was on a trail headed out in the desert to a job site and I stopped halfway through and turned it to off-road and it was a HUGE improvement. I love this truck!
Have fun out there! 👍

Very cool! Also my kind of place, just about 300 miles due south of where I'm at in NW ND. One of my best friends is from Rapid City.

Its wonderful in the warm months, but brutal in the winters! I've got a lot of metal in my body and just can't take the long periods of cold anymore. I grew up in Michigan and lived there until 2003 and loved northern Michigan and the U.P. I wish I could, cause I love winter sports and activities too!!!
It kinda nice here in Vegas cause, we have Mt Charleston for winter fun, but it's warm enough down in the valley during the winter that I can tolerate it. Only about 30 to 45 minutes of driving, so not to bad.
