Hey all!

Not a huge fan of these intro posts as I am on a number of different auto forums, but I totally get it, so here I am! I know there will be the normal mod welcomes, the secondary pic police, and then the welcome aboard but your color sucks, my white:sick:, blue(n), or heaven forbid black (which I have had about 10 of!) is cooler than than your primer gray truck posts, but I welcome them with open arms:LOL:.

A bit about me, as a car guy I have been engaged in multiple forums across several brands for the last 2 decades. From Honda Tech to S2ki, BMW forums, Ford Transit forums, 6G Mustang, and VW forums, and several GM forums, and now to the ZR2 forum!

I am about to trade in my 2020 GMC AT4 6.2 for a 2025 Slate Gray (primer) ZR2 with the baby max. This will be my 5th full size GM pick up, started with an 09 LTZ CC 2500HD 6.6 diesel, then a 15 LTZ CC 6.2, which was a pretty truck, but so many transmission issues I parked it and drove my $5k jeep project while getting it traded in! Then a 17 LTZ 2500HD 6.6 until I got rid of my camper, downsized to a Gladiator Rubicon, which was, after 6 or so Wranglers to include leaf sprung YJ's, was the worst handling vehicle I have owned, and then into my current 2020 AT4 6.2, which I love, but after towing the RZR North with it a few times I happened to mention to my brother in law, who owns a dealership, that if I was to get rid of it I would want a very specific ZR2 build.

Low and behold he had ordered nearly the exact build in the color I wanted and everything the month before. The only option left out was the technology package, which I currently have, but the only thing I really care about/use is the rear view cam mirror, which I will install. So, I am making the jump to the ZR2, which is currently waiting in a yard for a truck to pick it up for delivery. It should be at his place this week or next, and once I pick it up I will throw some pics up.

As always I'm excited to get a new rig, learn more about what it can and can't do, and get further engaged in the community as I work though any potential issues that may arise!

Congratulations!

If your gonna tow your RAZR a lot you may want to get some air bags or the spring upgrades. That's the only real weak spot, as the suspension is soft, which makes for a perfect offroad and unladen ride.

Just curious if you had any issues with your 2020 before all the covid and new electronics bullshit was introduced in the current 1500s?

Thanks! I'll likely do the RAS spring helpers, but may look into bags and do on board air for when I air down for the beach and potentially trails.

No, no issues on that front. Its one of the vehicle I bought used though because when I was looking my brother in law wasn't able to build out a truck and get everything I wanted due to the constraints at the time. So, I found the AT4 off lease and it was a late 2019 release vehicle, so it literally has every option the guy could get, and unlike other some other 2020's they are all there and all work!

Yep, those 2020s might be the last of the really reliable trucks/motors until GM gets their shit sorted out!
