New Oil Viscosity Recommended

I'm not that clever! I just got a new phone. I ran over my other one. I didn't realize how bad my other one was until I got this new one.......probably all kinds of stuff I could learn......lol
I think it's standard on all Android

Yeah... my wife is BRUTAL on her phone. 5 or 6 different screensavers in under 2 yrs. Good thing T-Mobile gives you unlimited screensavers for one price. 🙄

And everyone smirks when I change mine every 2.5k To me 5k-10k is just way too long for my mental comfort.

My pressure is same. Low when at temp, higher when warming up. I use Pennzoil Platinum ultimate full synth. I use K&N oil filters.

BTW, I still have my last oil filter I have not cut open yet. I don't want to cut it with the sawzall or a hacksaw cuz I don't want to get any metal mixed in. I have a large pair of tin snips, but they're not big enough. How do you get yours open?
You need a cutter tool like this one. Some of the auto parts stores also have them.

I lost mine taking a spin on my dirt bike testing a new performance ecu I put on. Did a u turn on the highway and it fell out. 20 minutes later I found it run over. The screen looked like it took a shotgun blast, but the back of case looked fine. Had asurion insurance and they replaced the screen for $0, so I could transfer data. Said it didn't pass all the tests, but seemed fine. I decided to get a new one cause they gave me $600 for that one and I got all the work data transferred from the last week I hadn't backed up. That's the only phone I've lost or had inoperable damage on since my first Motorola brick phone in 1999.......we'll see how this one goes, it's Samsung 25+.

Yep, I use a similar one. Just 5 or 6 rotations and it makes a smooth clean cut. I cut all mine open. Just let them drain a couple days before you cut and after and the filter will be nice an clean of oil.

I am actually due for a oil change, which I will do tomorrow.
I will go ahead and use the 0w-40 oil.

The recall wants the oil cap replaced to reflect the new oil?

Yep, it'll show the 40 instead of 20. Plus they'll be printing pages for service manuals to update the new viscosity.

I am a Valvoline guy and their 0W-40W synthetic is listed as "European"...hmmm?
The problem with the Valvoline 0W40 is it don't have the Dexos certification. Or does it?
