Modify ZR2 DRLs from white to yellow/amber?

I went ahead and pinged him over on the facebook page, he and I had chatted a while back about the GMAuth article, hopefully I hear something from him and will let you all know here what he says about a swap. I never installed mine so they are essentially new and unused still in the bag.

!!!CORRECTION!!!

In order to have the old units swapped, we will need to pay for the return shipping of the old ones and send Josh the $5 ($20 Canadian) to ship the new ones out. I don't have a problem with this since he is accepting an old harness back (possibly used) and sending a new one, so I don't mind paying the shipping both ways, small potatoes for a great product.

Great news!!!

I got an answer from Josh, if your non sequential/swiping model is unbroken/UNMODIFIED (meaning nothing spliced into the harness, and as delivered to you with no cuts or broken connectors), and functional, you can send them back and he will send you the new one, all he asks is that we pay $5 for shipping for the new ones ($20 for our Canadian friends) which you can do through PayPal/Venmo/CashApp (addresses below), I for one will be sending it PP as Friends&Family so Josh gets it all and doesn't have to pay anything.

He said they would take care of cleaning them up for resale or whatever when they get them back, and that as soon as the old ones arrive back at Venom he will ship the new ones out.

YOU MUST PUT YOUR NAME AND ORDER NUMBER on a piece of paper in the return package, he will look us up from his order database to get the ship to address again.

Also, just as an FYI, the new harness costs $10 more to produce, but Josh is going to cover that for the ZR2 and High Country people that have the sequential/swiping signals as Customer Care/Customer Service.

Thank you. Sorry this took so long to figure out but we needed some research and testing. They are about $10 more to manufacture each but I'm covering that cost to get the guys squared away that had sequential issues. I'm not very active on the forum as Facebook and instagram keep me more than busy. But if anyone needs anything reach out. Venomtrucks@gmail.com

Got the kit installed. Passenger side was a pain in the ass to get connector off but got it done. So far very pleased.

Is that the Rev 2 harness that preserves the swiping front turn signal animation? My Rev 2's showed up on Monday, haven't gotten around to installing them yet, but my drivers side will be significantly harder to get to than the passenger side, heck, I can actually get my hand into the passenger side without dislocating my wrist, the driver side I may have to move the windshield washer bottle to get it done.

Yes it’s the V2 kit so the sequential turns still work. I actually didn’t have any issues with driver’s side except plugging in the new harness…but maybe I have small girlish hands lol

😂 small girlish hands 😂
Yeah, I only tried half heartedly once to get it done, but it was still freezing cold so I didn't get very far, didn't want to break any of the connectors or locking tabs, but now that warmer weather is happening more often and the V2's are here, it is time to get it done. I will need to reevaluate how I'm going to go about it and dive in.
Did you send Josh/Venom/@That GM guy a pic to add to the catalog? Looks fantastic BTW!

Thanks! and yes I did! Sent him several pics for the website. Hopefully he uses them! 🤞
