Hey guys if you recall i did bend my front shield skid plate a year ago and i ordered the skid plate from the dealership recently and received it today. However i have a question on its color as it looks bare aluminum rather than matching the same tone/color on the original skid plate. Wanted to see what you think?

Don’t you guys think it has to be painted that color not sure if i call it light gray the one that comes on the front fascia skid. Appreciate if anyone experienced this🙏

If you bought other body parts, they would not be painted.

I just had to replace a sensor on the bumper that had to be paint-matched to the bumper by the dealer.

A skid plate that isn't painted doesn't surprise me...Actually, I'd expect that and would have asked that question when i ordered it.

You can polish it out or if I was you I would Line X it. As you found out, it's not really a skid plate, it's just a cover to prevent debris from getting into the motor. Line-X will give it some rigidity and protect the surface, either way, it won't hold up to heavy use.

Totally agree, thank you
