Does your ZR2 have paint chipping?

From what I've seen on this forum regarding the rock chip guard issues, yes that would definitely concern me more. Luckily I have no sign of that. I wonder if its due to a later build date (8/22) where they had fixed the problem by then, or perhaps my high-clearance side steps keeping flying debris from jump starting the process.

They probably had it fixed by than( good for you!). The rock chip guard did not require anything to hit it to get it. It literally would fall off by washing the truck, in my experience anyway. GM has a fix for that though.

My hood is chipping on the front corners. Actually, wearing from vibration would be a better description.
The bigger issue is the "rock guard" paint on the lower doors seems to be soft and I have 20-30 chips on each side. I don't ever recall driving on gravel roads or driving aggressively. There has been no special coating- waxes or other treatments either.
I've owned a 2017 Silverado, a 2019 Silverado RST and never had a problem like this. GM is aware and I am waiting on a follow-up for a cure.
I still love the truck and hope GM will come through for me.

Good luck with that.... I'm having the same issue and I have an SR for repair but GM is the worst ...they are not responsive at all!
And if you get customer service rep by the name of Charlie well he will stall the repair until you sell it ! True story ... GM is clearly broken!

For the last 6 months I have written Mary an email regarding . And she gives me Worthless Charlie!
I conclude she gives two sh_ts about me or the poor paint job!
