Dealer Oil Change, “Bless their heart”

I don’t trust anyone touching my equipment, and I think I will have to bypass my dealer’s “lifetime power train warranty”.

previously you posted, "certified technician." does that mean GM certified? im thinking ASE certification is equal or better. my buddy replaces all filters with AC Delco and im gonna put his skills against any GM mechanic. not knocking them of course.

I am an ASS Certified mechanic and I have no issues replacing all of my filters

Oil looked correct, however my 5 tire(I added a spare tire pressure sensor on my first rotation) rotation was a joke, they swapped my fronts like it was a Corvette , then asked if I wanted to pay $300 for a $50 fuel filter change(at 26%). I wouldn’t trust them with a dead dog… Oil change and “rotation” was $250, which is not terrible if done right

The possible Amazon knockoff is down to $25, but I will pay the $27.79 at Rock Auto to be certain I am getting a genuine ACD, I just group it in with the other parts I need so shipping costs aren't a big issue, the more you get the cheaper the shipping costs for each part in the order.

$160 for me and I don’t mind paying at all, mostly because my dealership is solid. They have several bays dedicated for diesel work because of how many they sell and service in the area.
