This morning, I tried all this at 40, 50, 70... Nothing worked; no icon change and it'll surely attempt to run up another car's ass. Does it matter if I have Lane Keep Assist on or off? I tried all this with LKA off.

My steering wheel controls are just like that, minus I have an extra button for the heated steering wheel.

You have the same controls as my truck. And exactly how I described it is exactly how it works. I tried it this morning. If yours doesn't work as I described it, then you need to make an appointment at the dealer to get it fixed.

Shoot me your VIN. I can get you a build sheet if you haven't done that yet...maybe your truck is an oddball or there was a chip restriction etc and doesn't have Adaptive cruise.

So even without Adaptive cruise (rpo KSG) if you have the PED rpo you will have the distance setting ability on the wheel. Description of PED below:

PED - CHEVY SAFETY ASSIST * AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING *
FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING * LANE KEEP ASSIST W/ LANE
DEPARTURE WARNING * FOLLOWING DISTANCE INDICATOR *
FORWARD COLLISION ALERT * INTELLIBEAM
