Chevy Silverado ZR2 Topper/Camper Shell

Received this from their North America/Canada support team...

"Our design team are working on a lock with an internal release function and the freezing issue is being addressed. These have not been released as yet, but we expect them to be made available for purchase later this year.
Our current lock supplier has developed and released a rubber cover that prevents the freezing issue being experienced by our customers in colder climates. These we are providing at no charge to our customers upon request. The images below show the covers being referenced."

Sounds like they stand behind their product. Nice to see these days.

When ever I get my ZR2 plan to throw this baby on…
I realize you weren't asking for ideas, but I've been looking too and found these ... they are pretty sweet too:

Thought I would share since I remembered there was a thread on this.
First mod done. For my lifestyle and what I like to do (hunt, fish, camp, etc) the topper is an absolute necessity. Keeps my dogs out of the weather too.

Anyhow, really pleased with it.
ARE CX Evolve for anyone that cares to know. I failed to get a good pic of the formed glass rear door which is sweet. I’ll do that tomorrow.

Those the camper make the rear view mirror camera useless ? Also how much you pay?

I'm not a far of canopies in any way , except function. we have 5 pickups and one has to have a canopy to haul my bird dogs around all year but especially hunting season. I put a Bedrug in it and plumb in a bobcat heater that will cook them out when it's cold.

I bought an ARE , as canopies go it fits great and doesn't look that bad since it looks factory.

The rear design makes it look way less boxy and I like how it follows the lines of the rear cab area. Definitely one of the best looking. Very nice!

Im leaning towards this bad boy I think!

Its durable and looks beefy
Can access everything inside easily
Its super light weight
Wont crack or fade after bombing down the back roads
You can walk on it making it easy to fold up my roof top tent, and has capacity haul gear up top; canoes, kayaks, tents, tools, tire, spare fuel and water.....
Can strap my hammock to the side of it and other things and not worry about flex from side load
And also it has that awesome translucent roof that lets light in for when you're car camping in the back.

Will have to add some sort of venting though, which is easy enough with a grinder and the plasma cutter

That's actually pretty impressive. I'm going to do a little more research, but that would work for me

im gonna agree 100% about non fandom but that model and color kinda look OEM.

For those of you who have installed a topper/cap on your ZR2, does it block the CHMSL, bed camera and light mounted at the top of the cab? Or is there a work-around for those? I really haven't used the bed camera and light, but I'd rather not render those items moot.

The only way you'd be able to use the bed camera would be to move it inside the canopy. which hardly seems worth the effort. your bed lights in the rear and the canopy light provide more than enough lighting.
