I would take that thing out on a few spirited drives and run it through the paces, don't run it high in the rpms for extended time, but don't lug it around town or run it at steady speed on the highway. You have a limited window where "break in" occurs. Then it'll "wear in" for a longer period of time, before it proceeds into it's life cycle where it eventually wears out.

The oil is 0W20 in a brand that meets the specifications outlined in the manual. I would probably run the current oil a little longer (say 1000-1500 miles) as it is formulated to assist in break in. When you dump it, you'll know what that means as it is a dark green color.

After that pull samples and do an oil analysis every 5k miles and you'll be able to track the health of your motor.

Nothing will prevent catastrophic failure due to poor quality parts, workmanship, or design. That's already baked in.

Likewise! Although mine's the Duramax. Got it on the 6th, but it's been nothing but overcast and dreary, so no good pics yet. Gratz on the early Christmas and may the rest of your holiday be merry!
