22.5 1500 zr 2 refresh

Hi, i bought my 22.5 with 4k miles on it, the exhaust looks stock like my friends 22, but when i get on it, it gets loud like it had an after market exhaust, i can keep it quiet or make it loud with the gas pedal, i dont see active exhaust on my window sticker, and my buddys sounds normal no matter how hard you step on the gas, any ideas?

Definitely aftermarket as the 22 did not have active exhaust or sport mode.

Do you or your buddy have K&N stickers anywhere near the back half of the trucks? This will help us diagnose this conundrum. Also what color is the interior of your ZR2?

Might have a Magnaflow, you can hear it on start up and idling, but it's still mellow. Sounds great when you load it up!

No K&N stickers, but it does have an S&B air filter, also mine is quiet at idle, and in park if i rev it, still quiet, stumped on the exhaust as its identical to my friends 22 when looking underneath

Cracked manifold? Exhaust leak? Maybe something to look into.
