Well is the final day to hand your paycheck over to the government that was meant to be "for the people, by the people". Instead it's a rogue commie enterprise run by criminals.

I waited until the last moment to pay hoping they would issue some type of relief or tax credits for all the money that was ripped off from us through USAID and other money laundering programs so that congress can get rich.

We gawd damned better well get some meaningful tax relief soon! I'm tired of 100% taxation. I think this image about sums up our obligations.

It's amazing that they say they teach history so we dont repeat it. Yet the story is always the same.
Rich want more and more is never enough. They break the people they see less than them til they rise up and over throw them and the cycle goes on. Each time after wars or a civilization rises and falls people say not the next time, we will do better. Sadly it never happens.

I found the below a while back. Seems pretty accurate to me.

Isn’t that a no joke! And people left England for religious freedoms and being taxed too much and here we are no better than what they are if not worse now.
We've conceded this country. I pay hundreds of dollars if tax to have a mobile phone, cable TV, and electricity. And I get a bill for $300-500 every month for each of them.

That graphic is truthful, and the truth hurts. I'm pretty much ready for the 2A part. I've had a great life. I want my kids to have the same, yet an average house costs $450k. I cannot see how they thrive. I'm ready to ride out at sunrise and take one for the team. I'll be too old soon enough!

I’m definitely not a spring chicken. Only four of our six are out of the house. I wish I could say they had any drive but sadly no. You’d think they didn’t grow up in this house. I remember being their age thinking if I made 1k a month I’d have it made. I sure as hell make more than that now and don’t have it made yet lol. Things have gotten so ridiculous. Not sure how many more generations can take things like they are.

Yep, no matter how much more you make, there is no big payday after inflation and taxes. I sort of wonder if that's why nobody has any motivation to do more......seems futile.

I will say, the best time of my life was when I didn't have two nickels to rub together. My Chevy S10, 2 stroke dirt bike, fishing rod, shotgun, and some time to enjoy it.

Isn’t this the truth!!

My daughter is shacked up with some dude and doesn’t work. My step son “is in school” and doesn’t do shit. My son joined the Air Force, (he is WAY smarter than me, I was a Jarhead). My wife and I work our asses off, provide way more than what we had growing up. They could care less. If we could go back to the late 70’s/80’s I’d be totally cool dude with it. lol

I feel ya. I was in the Air Force myself. Even though I went it at almost 27, was the best decision I ever made.

Just wrapped up my tax return and I was angered. Used to be that when you owned a home it opened up Sch A (Itemized deductions) on your tax return and it was greater than the standard deduction. Now with recent tax changes to SALT (state and local taxes), SALT is limited to 10K, most peoples property tax is equal to that, and that doesn't account for state income tax withholding. So all those deductions are lost and we are back to standard deduction. There is an educational tax credit available to offset cost of dependent college tuition, but it is lost if your income is too high. Here is the kicker what the government calls too high is a joke. So when I here politicians saying tax cuts are for the rich and current tax law favors the rich I have to ask what planet they are on. Just these two items I mentioned amounted to $8,000 in taxes. My rant for the day.

Did my taxes and found out I couldn’t take sales tax credit for the two Trucks my wife and I bought last year. I’d be all for a flat tax, tell me what it is and take it out of my check and don’t bother me in April about wanting an additional 3k.

That's 100% my take on those topics. There simply isn't any deductions of any meaningful kind.

My business income is mostly pass through, so the only way to offset that income is just spend it on stuff you don't really need. Then you don't have much left to pay yourself anyway.

If you make six figures, they assume it's $999,999, so you must have plenty to "share" with the government.

Fuck every politician ever!

I've always wanted no income and no property taxes. I would rather everything be a consumption tax. It would make goods expensive, but I can decide if i want something and spend my money the way i see fit.

That’s the way I run things. All my non business owner buddies think I’m nuts for buying what I do. My response is generally A) mind your own damn business and B) start a business and experience the situation first hand

Small business is a tough enterprise in America and it’s only getting tougher unfortunately

That's the other thing this administration needs to fix. There are far too many
onerous regulations and restrictions that cost small businesses the ability to compete fairly. That's why we get giants corporations and less competition.

Small businesses is still one of the most critical functions in our society. You should be able to start a business with minimal restrictions and thrive without bullshit government intervention.

same here. i have little overhead with a high profit margin so i need everything i can find. was working on my tax return back in early march and was looking like I'd be paying an additional $4K in and was okay with that. then . . . THEN, i got my wife's W2 from her "side job" and that $4K turned into $13K. my s-corp now owns a '25 ZR2 and i'm getting a refund.

Yep, that's what my Dad and I have done with some vehicles and equipment. This past year we didn't have as many big purchases, so took a big hit on taxes.

This year, I'm going to buy vacations, motorcycles, side by sides, boats, etc and call myself a "non-profit" like all the government rackets.
