ZR2 grill guard

Has anyone been able to find a grill guard that will fit or if they have any news in when one will be available? I’ve had a few near misses with pigs and deer. I live down a road where they are everywhere and even going slow at night they still seem to run out right in front of me.

Haha you’ve got a point. Fortunately I’ve already got a freezer full so not smashing the front end of my truck is priority.

I can tell you from experience, the front bumper is pretty tough. A week after I bought mine, I smoked a deer on the interstate. Got lucky and it was a little one, but not a scratch.

Do NOT put a grill guard on. They will have an impact on the air bag sensors and may cause air bags to not deploy in the case of an accident. Just my two cents but grill guards on vehicles with air bags are a big NO NO.

I agree with this statement. However, funny enough, between my truck and the lady's Mazda no airbags deployed the other night. Makes me wonder if the sensor is sitting only in the middle of the bumpers. Her whole right corner was smashed to bits.

When I was working in Alaska, I'd see some of those good ol boys running around with giant pipes welded about 1 foot in front of their grill guards. If a moose gets in front of them, no problems getting home.
