Zr2 2500HD Bison on order in NC

Oh hey. Look what just popped up on the dealer website.

Make sure it's on the "We Owe" form so they actually do it. Otherwise they'll get amnesia. They have a credit card and can pay the bill at the other dealership just like you can.
Sage advice.

Currently, the dealer is working with the company that handles the steps.

They're thinking they can redirect the steps to another dealership and have them installed near me. Still waiting on confirmation.

They just never show up here.
They had a massive camp there with $10s of millions of dollars of brand new shiny white shit for a while, then packed it up and left without doing anything.

Truck landed Wednesday. According to the dealer, it's waiting to go through service inspection. Dealer didn't have much else to say there.

Going to be patient for a few more days and ask what's up. But I could sure use this thing right about now with this snow.😅

My lowrider is nearly out of paint and body. I'd rather be able to go get it with my new truck than wait for someone to transport it.

Waiting for financials and setting up shipping. Getting a "We owe form," as mentioned.

As far as my dealer addons, all the service departments in my area are trash. Abit nervous about that one. But the options will be rerouted by the company that handles them to the dealer of my choosing. I dont want to choose any near me. But not much choice.

Might get the truck end of this week.

If you aren't comfortable, how about having your body guy from the lowrider stick them on for you? May cost a couple hundred bucks, but at least it will be right.

Not a bad idea. But the logistics dont work. the body guys in the lowrider community is in Fayetteville 2.5 hours away. I could easily find a great general purpose body shop to do it near me.

Its really just getting the things from the dealer at that point.

I'm stuck in a hurry-up and wait spot on this truck.

-The truck got delivered to the dealer on the 8th.
-I didn't get my financials and purchase agreement until the 16th, which I then had to overnight the check to the dealer. The credit union would not let the check go directly to the dealer.
-They got the check Friday 17th and it's not cleared yet.
-Dealer won't give me a "We Owe," form for my steps or my dark essentials. Because GM LPOs are manufacturer options installed at the dealer, they are considered separate from the vehicle to the dealer's parts department. GM owes me them, not the dealer.
-When the check clears then they can arrange shipping. So that will take 1-2 days to pick up and then maybe a get the truck a week after that.
-Trying to leverage the dealer to setup shipping and just pay the shipper myself.

Probably should have just said screw it and flew out there. But, whatever. This new truck process has been a headache since the start. Even with local dealers. I am really wishing we could just buy things direct. The truck is now technically mine and they assigned it to me on the my chevrolet app. Getting status reports directly from the truck. I can remote start it and make it alarm (I can't track the truck so? lol).

Good to know its has air in the tires.
