Has anyone on here installed the Zone 4” lift kit made for the ZR2 and AT4X?
Reuses the Multimatic shocks but will not be able to reuse the 18” wheels. It also requires cutting the CA perch. I have done many modifications to vehicles over the years. I have no problem making mods. But would like to know if there is any positive or negative feedback. Peak Performance offers a level kit (Summit) which seems quick and allows 18”
My truck has the 3.0 Duramax.

Most do the Peak kit (lots of threads on that), others are ditching the entire ZR2 suspension and doing 6 inch kits. I've not seen any Zone kits in this forum.

Not sure why you want to keep the stock rims with a bigger lift. The offset is really biased like +33, so you can't run larger tires, which you need to do with a lift to make it look good.

I am looking to build the truck in stages. Buying a wheel upgrade can be the first step. I was hoping feedback would help that decision. I like the ZR2 suspension. My first GM truck was an 76 fleet-side in 1985. I’ve had 4 others since. This truck is by far the best ride. It’s a Cadillac of trucks. I really don’t want to lose that. Thank you for the reply
Thank you

You can check out my thread on running 295 and Method wheels with negative offset wheels and some basic trimming. It looks pretty good. That combination woukd look good with anything from a 2-4 inch lift too when you do it later.

A lot of guys are running spacers with stock wheels and it looks good. I think with a lift spacers are less desirable as your gonna stress those lugs even more.

RU now running 18x9 -18 offset ?
Truck looks good in Black

I think I have seen one or two with zone lifts on here, maybe something will pop up with a search or someone will chine in.

Like Axe said most people add spacers or run aftermarket wheels on anything with new upper control arms. The stock wheels have so much backspacing that wider tires will be very close to rubbing aftermarket ucas. But the stock arms are pretty weak so almost every kit replaces them. You can still run 18’s with aftermarket arms, that’s what I currently have, you just need less backspacing to clear.

Also a lot of aftermarket UCAs, including peak, require you to cut that little perch, it’s pretty common and easy to do.

From previous vehicles, Zone is owned by Fox (as in Fox Shocks), as is BDS. Zone tends to be a value engineered version of the BDS kits to slot it at a lower price point, it also has a more limited warranty.

Not sure it carries to the Chevy, but on my Ram, basically the diff drop components were the same between 4" and 6", with the difference between the two coming in the struts/spacers up front and the springs/blocks/shock lengths out back. Basically a 6" would be similiar to a 4" with a level kit.
