.........or the plunge as it may be. I think this is driven mostly by the tariff fears and all the hype. However, I think we're due for a decent pullback either way because market fundamentals haven't been strong for 6 months.

I bought a couple stocks to keep accumulating for the long haul. It's hard to know when things will bottom, so I make some smaller buys along the way and try to get a decent average. Sometimes they are small and quick and sometimes they are more sustained, but there's always a deal to be had during a sell off.

I've decided after the 2000 and 2008 plunge I would always keep some cash on hand for these sell-offs. It's proven to be a decent strategy and once they run up again and I can make a decent return, I'll sell and build a little cash reserves again.

Probably gonna shake out over a few months. We'lll see what happens by September.
Got all my $$$700,000 in CD's. At my age, To invest it on an unreliable stock market doesn't make sense to me. I will not live long enough to see it turn into a large profit that I can use. I'll leave that to my son to do when I am pushing up daisies.

Yep, I like it! CDs have been kicking ass for a good bit, that's easy money!

Everyone has a different approach. You have to decide what's right in your own situation. I like hearing others philosophy.

I keep mine in different buckets, some low risk, some moderate and some high. For about 15 years I've always raised cash when the markets run up, cause they'll always take a dump and you can buy a little more of the premium names at a discount.

I've traded 3X leveraged ETFs and made some decent money, then watched it go right down the shitter 6 months later. They have a daily decay, so a slight trend up is good, but a trend down eats you right up.

Here comes the dip
Get ready
It'll probably chop sideways for a while, which would be helpful for the intermediate term. It's always good to have some consolidation to establish a new base before it can sustain a run up.
