Figured I'd put a place holder post up for my mods rather than putting a new one up every time I add something.

What I've done.
- Talon's garage skid plates for engine, t case and skid
- Garmin Powerswitch
- CBI ditch light mounts
- Auxbeam ditch lights

What I'm about to do
- Pinnacle offroad shock skids
- Pinnacle offroad ARB compressor mount
- Pinnacle offroad chase lights
- Camfab frame mounted rock sliders

What I will do in future
- Get a fuel tank skid made and/ or long range fuel tank
- Front bumper light mounts for my 4 spot lights
- Full PPF wrap

Not sure of my timeline on future mods, and the stuff I'm about to install will be abit tricky as I just had a hip reconstruction (plan to put my missus to work)-
But watch this space if you enjoy seeing someone dumping money on unnecessary shit for their ZR2

So
Still haven't installed shock skids or chase light mounts- bit much for me recovering for a hip reconstruction.

Luckily I can still pay people to do things 😉

Here's the most recent mod- frame mounted (bolted) rock sliders by Camfab in Las Vegas.

Pretty stoked with how they turned out. I'm sure they'll do what they need to offroad. They also make a pretty good step too.

They look good and stout!

Latest mod

Pinnacle offroad ARB compressor mount in the engine bay.

Install was tedious, instructions were poor- but fit was epic.
I can't imagine how they managed to design it.
Will hook it up to my garmin powerswitch tomorrow.

Looks really good there.

Latest upgrades

Last week I installed a midland MXT575 CB radio using the pinnacle offroad mount under the passenger seat.

Routing the wiring through the firewall was a huge pain in the ass- ended up having to drop the passenger side wheel arch liner so I could cut a hole in the grommet for the power and antenna wire.
Once that was done everything was pretty straight forward.
Wires are very hidden. Routed a microphone extension under the center console trim so it pops out near my right foot.

Used a Cali raised ditch light extension antenna mount to mount my midland ghost Antenna.
Used a bit of nylon from home depot to create a shim as the antenna was 3/8" and the hole on the mount was 1/2".
(Photos attached).

Only issue besides the pita firewall was the radio mount. Fit super clean, however radio makes contact with underside of seat when the seat is too far forward. Not an issue at all, as there's pretty much no need to ever have the seat that far forward.
Talked to the owner of Pinnacle and we think it's because I have the powered passenger seat, whereas the vehicle used to design the mount didn't. Torque setting for the seat bolt is 33ftlbs from memory.

Also installed the pinnacle offroad rear lower shock mount skid plates/ huards (no photos yet).
Install was not difficult, but a little tedious.
You have to pull the bolt out entirely to get the new skid/ guard on.
Have to hold the skid and bolt in place with one hand, compress the shock with the other, then slide the new bolt in.
With 2 people I think it would of been a really easy job. Took me about an hour.
It was also cold and shitty out- that's my excuse.
Torque specs for the shock bolt at 118ftlbs from memory.
