What have you done to your Silverado ZR2 this week? 🛠️

Chassis unlimited octane. I probs would of gone with the ADD bumper, however it wouldnt of allowed a winch with the diesel engine (intercooler).

It's a nice bumper none the less
I have the 6.2 and want to install a new one this year with a winch. It just sucks that there's not that many options yet. Does it work with the sensors? Is there any issues?

Yeah specialized aftermarket stuff is lacking forsure.

My truck is a 2024- they didnt have parking sensors. However both the chassis unlimited and the addictive dessert designs bumpers have the option for sensor cutouts. So they should work just fine.

Got the truck back today with a new drivers mirror. Whistling is finally gone! However, I may need a new transmission lol. They are saying the whining it does between a couple of gears is probably something wrong with the planetary gears. I guess it’s fine if I get a new transmission and it doesn’t do it anymore. .

New tranny and another new mirror. These trucks are too expensive for them not to be right. I would not settle for anything less. We already have enough issues out of our control, engine and radio cutting out to name a few. Good luck and I hope you get it squared away.

Wouldn't you know, the whistle is gone but now that mirror's motor sounds sickly and takes about 2-3 seconds more to open or close than the other side.....

My first 2500HD mirrors needed to have the gear and slide track cleaned and lubed one in a while.to keep it smooth. Totally different design, so not sure what this one looks like inside.

My motors on my wife's Tahoe and my 1500 are a little slow and jerky to open. I keep forgetting to ask about a fix when I'm there, but they still work and I keep forgetting. Not sure they'll make it over the long haul.

Yeah I am not sure if the motor in the mirror would make it long term either if it seems weak now. As for the transmission, Id love to be able to go drive other 2500s with the 6.6L gas and listen to its transmission. I have read some other folks saying theirs has a slight "turbo whine" to it around the same gears. They have been told its normal.

However, I didnt pay all this money and then spend money adding to this truck for it not to be perfect with 3k miles on it lol.

In my opinion, when I've heard whining, it might be low on fluid. There's a process to check it. It has to be operating temp and you have to pull the fill plug in the side of the transmission above the pan and it should leak fluid just like a differential. There's YouTube videos on this process.

Yeah, I remember reading that somewhere. However, if it was low, I would think it would affect more than just that gear range. They ordered a rear camera to replace it to see if it fixes how dark it is. They are supposed to pull the pan at that time so they can check for forbidden glitter and the state of the oil. I figure it will be filled correctly then. There is a bulletin that mentions a while around that area but does not say what to do about it lol. Granted the bulletin is for up to 2025 but that dont mean shit in my book.

Picked up some new Oversand tire deflators, trying something new. I've used the valve stem removing style, four tire hose system and a single tire style with gauge, all have worked but these seem to be pretty good. I dialed them at 23 lbs (account for hot tires when hitting trail after highway drive), all four were +/- 1 lb so far when deflating.

I have a different brand, but these things are great!

Those look great if you can dial in the pressure and walk away! 70 is kinda steep but If it's a set it and forget it deal that's great!!!

I chose these. They are extremely quick and I just use my DIC to get down to 18 to 20 for most trails. If it's really sandy or muddy then I take it down to about 15.

That’s cool! I tried the cheaper ones and they didn’t work, blew right past the preset I did, literally. The Staun are a bit more and pretty reliable, figured I’d try these that you can dial up what you want. I have options now for how I feel that day 😆

Yeah I had the rhino pin removal type but they were just way to slow for my taste. Please drop the link for the ones you purchased. I'll check them out 👍

Once you set the collars finger tight, may want to use some pliers to make them snug. Mine spun when I was screwing then the valve stem. Had to tighten a bit more but now they’re fine. Also, when I tested them, figured out they need normal tire pressure to kick them off. I was deflating and then back inflating to 5 over to save time, but they wouldn’t kick back on. Had to inflate about 10 over what I wanted it to stop at, if that makes sense.
