'24 6.2 gasser 9,000 on the clock, second oil change was at 4000 miles, UPR catch can on it since new. I've emptied the catch can twice and no concerns, about 1/4" of oil in it the first two times. Oil is at 64% good by the DIC. Today, the oil in the catch can looked like coffee with creamer and there was a white sludge in the bottom of it. About 3/8" deep in the can.

Is this just condensation normal for winter driving? I called Blackstone and I'm gonna send it in just to make sure there is no antifreeze in it. In the pic you can see where the water/sludge is settling out.

Yes, this is normal in the winter months. My catch can has yet to catch anything but water on my 6.2L. Not sure its even needed, but my old gen 4 LS would have 3-4 ounces in it in the summer. Winter time was a weekly dump of oil/water mix but mostly water and freeze if left to long.

The thing about catch cans is that if you don't put one on, you don't have this problem!

Moisture in the crankcase (which is likely little) will evaporate when the oil gets to operating temp. If it pushes out into the can, it'll mix with the oil in the can and you have an iced coffee.
