That’s GM’s bailout for CAFE. If the 3.0 sticks in sales numbers it will save the company tens of millions in carbon credits they have to buy from Tesla.I noticed the 1500 was the BabyMax.
I'm having a hard time finding the detraction in the 3.0, good on emissions, great on mileage, over 100 HP and 165 LBFT of TQ per liter, for a truck, it is a great choice. That’s GM’s bailout for CAFE. I agree, I hope they sell enough 3.0's that GM decides they can offer a factory supercharger on the 6.2, take that steak up to Prime Rib level and notch that fun quotient up to an 11.Exactly. Buy them up. I want my maximum power per engine option.

I got one that will get you up the hill a little quickerI want a 750 HP electric/diesel hybrid in my 2500HD. I also want one that runs on hydrogen and one that runs on cold fusion before I'm scheduled to die in 2050.
Not as long as the bean counters are still in charge.I’m hopeful that T1-2 (2027 MY) fixes many of the shortcomings of the T1 and allows a “real” ZR2 truck to be produced not limited by existing architecture and bean counting.
Sales have been strong so that’s a good sign for us.
Wife has the 3.0 and it’s great but it’s just not my 6.2.I'm having a hard time finding the detraction in the 3.0, good on emissions, great on mileage, over 100 HP and 165 LBFT of TQ per liter, for a truck, it is a great choice.
Lebanon Ford perfomance dealer is putting whipple superchargers on 300a mustang gt's and F150 xl for about 55k new with 3/36 new warranty. GM TAKE NOTE.I agree, I hope they sell enough 3.0's that GM decides they can offer a factory supercharger on the 6.2, take that steak up to Prime Rib level and notch that fun quotient up to an 11.
It’s not intended to be, and that’s actually the beauty of it.Wife has the 3.0 and it’s great but it’s just not my 6.2.
Well they sold enough on the 24' model years that they are increasing the 3.0L production for 2025 by a substantial amount. I definitely enjoy it in my bison.I agree, I hope they sell enough 3.0's that GM decides they can offer a factory supercharger on the 6.2, take that steak up to Prime Rib level and notch that fun quotient up to an 11.
