I was checking out the price of the Borla (still $1800) and saw a new exhaust option. They claim and improvement of 13hp and 7 lbft tq where no such stat is given for the Borla. They are also charging $2400 for this version. Seems a steep premium over the already amazing Borla system. Anyone know what's up with these?

It peaks my curiosity for sure. However, even an official part, if there’s no mention of tuning after the install… the numbers mean nothing in my opinion. When descriptions use the words “up to” and “can”, that means only under specific conditions.

Bonus points for them saying it wont void warranty.

im thinking thats the GM engineered system.

Most of the free flowing exhausts will increase HP/ torque, it's whether or not you notice 4 or 5 HP, which is a 1 % gain. Even if you get 8-10 HP, you might not feel it. Before and after dyno tests are the only way to know for sure.

Looking at these two exhausts from GM. Comparing the GM pics with the Borla pics, it looks like the $1800 system is the S-type and the $2400 system is the Touring. Anyone think differently? With the current 20% off sale the S-type is slightly less than other vendors. Touring is substantially more than other vendors right now.

$2400???? What's it made of? Titanium? I've had 2 ZL1s, at that money, I had ceramic long tube headers, high flow cats and tune for less. Not sure if the 1500 has cut outs, but guarantee more hp for less than 2500 bucks

I picked mine up for $2100...Borla doesn't offer quad tips. Stainless steel lifetime warranty

Yes sir. While Borla has been a quality manufacturer, the price point has always been steep for me. All things being equal, the HP per dollar trumped all. That said, had my pockets been deeper, I would have added the Borla 😂😂
