Decided to put a WeatherTech deflector on the hood today. I don't like using 3M tape and sticking things to my paint so I bought the screw on type that uses the existing holes on the underside of the hood. Very clean. With a black truck, it almost disappears into the background. I put this on my 23 ZR2 as well and was very happy with it.

I've been wondering about the tape as well. If it sits flush to the hood, how would it deflect. I think I am going to go with the option you have used.

Hey Dani. I am extremely happy with my choice. Looks great and easy to install. Would do it again in a heart beat.

Most of the ones I saw for the 1500 ZR2, seem to be stick ons.

If you select everything out to tell it its a ZR2, it says its a 3M install.

Trust me...I bought one and installed it. It is not 3M tape...it screws into factory holes under the hood.

Funny enough, I went and looked at the install instructions, they say it screws on. They probably should have that in the description vs 3M lol. After I saw that, I looked more and found this one also.

Get the AVS Bugdeflector II...it's a bit nicer and only $10 more. That is what I am showing in the pic above on my 1500.
